Sunday April 15th 2012 – CTG Toddle Waddle

We’re delighted to be supporting the Meningitis Trust by organising our very own Toddle Waddle again this year. It will take place on Sunday April 15th, in Pitville Park. If you haven’t been along before, it’s basically a (very short) sponsored walk for your multiples, in aid of the Meningitis Trust. Ours is on SUNDAY APRIL 15th at 10.30am. We meet by the Pump Rooms. There’ll be cakes at the finish and please feel welcome to bring a picnic and stay on afterwards. Even though it’s called a “Toddle Waddle”, there are always lots of multiples in buggies, or being carried. Bikes, scooters and rollerskates are also allowed! As is fancy dress! You can book appointments with the store if you want kids shoes, to ensure you don’t have to queue.

Friday 3rd February – Dinky Prints at the Play Session

On Friday 3rd February, Dinky Prints will be coming to our play session (www.dinkyprints.co.uk) to take clay impressions of the babies handprints and footprints to make keepsakes, presents etc. Hopefully see you there!

Friday 9th March – Soft Play

It’s softplay again on Friday 9th March at leisure@cheltenham from 11.30-12.15. Completely free! Something for all ages. The facilities include 2 large bouncy castles, a large soft obstacle course, slides and various sports equipment as well as plenty of staff to help out. It’s in half of the main sports hall and there was masses of room to run/crawl around.

We won’t open the play session at Charlton Kings that day, as it was not well attended last time softplay was on. If you have any queries then please contact Ellie.

Evening at Cheltenham Racecourse – 2nd May 2012

Ellie is organising a ladies trip to the Cheltenham evening races on 2nd May. The gates open at 3.30pm and the first race is at 5.35pm.

Tickets for Club/ Tattersalls start from £17 if you book in advance for more than 10 people. If you are interested in a fun evening out and want to take advantage of the cheaper tickets then please can you let Ellie know (ellie@chelt.com) and let me have your ticket money as soon as possible.

If you want to come but don’t want to book now you can book online for just yourself for £18 nearer the time or pay at the door for £20.

Parentcraft Evenings at Cheltenham Hospital

Once every three months, Sally Pratt – a midwife at Cheltenham Hospital – runs an evening for parents that are expecting twins or more. The dates for 2012 are:

Monday March 5th
Monday June 11th
Monday September 3rd
Monday December 3rd

They run from 19.30 to 21.30 hrs, in the Parentcraft Room, Level 3, St Paul’s Wing, Cheltenham General Hospital. Contact salprattchelt@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to go along.

The Twins Group sends along two mums to each session, to share our experiences with the expecting parents. If you are interested in volunteering for one of these evenings, please contact chicken@freerangemarketing.com .

Expecting Twins Evenings

Ask any CTG member, and they will say that the Expecting Twins Evenings (ETEs) are the most useful events that the Group organises.

On the last Tuesday of every month, we invite expecting parents of multiples, to one of our homes, for an informal chat. You will have the opportunity to meet other expecting parents, and there are always two twin mums that host the evening, so that you can ask any questions or talk about any worries that you may have.
